Wellness radio forum to focus on how to ‘Rethink Your Position’

Biochemist and author Katy Bowman will present “Rethink Your Position,” a WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum set for 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, on KSQM 91.5 FM.

Bowman will explain how making simple adjustments to body positions can increase physical activity all day long, not only at the gym, but at the office, in the kitchen, walking down the street and even while sleeping. She emphasizes that our bodies are always being moved, even when people are “just sitting there,” meaning an alignment makeover for everyday tasks can add up and make a big difference in physical and mental health.

A best-selling author, speaker and leader in the “movement” movement, Bowman has written nine books that have been translated into more than a dozen languages. She teaches movement globally and speaks about sedentarism and movement ecology to academic and scientific audiences. Her education company, Nutritious Movement, is based in Washington state, where she lives with her family.
