Winter Reading Circus Cinema film series continues

Cirque du Soleil’s "Varekai" will be shown at the Sequim Library at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20. "Varekai" is the second film in the Circus Cinema series, shown as part of the Winter Reading Circus: A Library Reading Program for Adults.

Cirque du Soleil is an international phenomenon in the world of circus arts. "Varekai" is Cirque du Soleil’s visually striking interpretation of the story of Icarus. Seating is limited. Free tickets for the film will be available 30 minutes before show time.

Participants in the Winter Reading Circus are encouraged to read at least five books by March 20. As an added bonus, those who read five books will receive a reusable Winter Reading Circus tote bag and be entered in grand prize drawings for a Nook e-reader or an overnight stay at Lake Crescent Lodge in Olympic National Park. Attendances at special events such as this film give participants additional chances to win these prizes.

The Sequim Library is at 630 N. Sequim Ave. For more information, call 683-1161.
