Additional search for Sequim man unsuccessful

A search earlier this month for a 72-year-old Sequim man reported missing since late March did not turn up any signs of the individual.

On May 6, members of the Clallam County Search and Rescue Team conducted an additional search for Danny Brewer.

The Sequim man was last seen at 9 a.m. Friday, March 24, at his residence on the 300 block of Easterly Road, south of Sequim, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said. He is described as standing about 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with hazel eyes.

This search was in addition to two previous searches conducted immediately after Brewer was reported missing, rescue team representatives said.

During the May 6 search, county team members used more than 80 searchers, 13 dogs and a drone team from several counties from around Washington state — including Kitsap County Search Dogs, Pierce County ESAR, Island County SAR, Cowitz County SAR, Pierce County GSSD (German Shepherd Search Dogs), King County ESAR, King County Search Dogs and Snohomish County K9 SAR.

Throughout the day, there were 20 different teams searching more than 30 miles worth of roads, about 15 square miles of clear cuts as well as searching the areas covered in the initial search again.

In addition, Costco donated numerous snack items and the search teams were fed by “The Soup Ladies” a non-profit program who supports First Responders for free by providing meals.

Anyone with information about Brewer is urged to call emergency dispatchers at 9-1-1 or non-emergency 360-417-2459, Option 1.
