Albert Haller Foundation President Gary Smith, along with Port Angeles District Superintendent Marc Jackson and Sequim School District Superintendent Kelly Shea, awarded grants to 56 community organizations throughout Clallam County on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

“The beauty here can sometimes cause us to look past our imperfections,” Shea told the crowd of individuals that had gathered to represent the various organizations to receive awards.

“But we have people among us that are really struggling, but because of people like you – you’re trying to make this place beautiful to all of us, but you can’t do it alone.”

Thus, to assist financially, more than $300,000 was awarded from the Albert Haller Foundation to support the varying community organizations with a variety of goals.
