The Sears stores in Port Angeles and Sequim presented a check for more than $1,200 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula.
The figure represents 3 percent of the stores’ sales on Sept. 18 as part of Sears’ "donate and save" event. Each independently owned store could select a charity of its choice on that day and all the owners decided to go together in supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula.
