Applications open for 2013 Clallam County Fair royalty

The Clallam County Fair royalty program invites applicants for the 2013 royalty court.

 

Clallam County Fair royalty represent the fair throughout the year at community services events and parades and reign over the fair in August.

 

The program is open to all students, homeschoolers included, in grades 10-12, ages 16-18. Applicants must reside in Clallam County and have a grade-point average of 2.6 or above. Students do not need to be involved in 4-H or FFA to run.

 

Applications are available at area high schools and at www.clallam.net/Fair/forms.html. There is an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the fairgrounds kitchen. Bring completed applications, sponsor letters, $100 sponsorship fee and a parent/guardian.

 

Students with questions and those interested who do not find a sponsor should call Christine Paulsen at 452-8262. The royalty program is scholarship-based with a $500 scholarship for the queen and $400 for each of the princesses.
