Artists exhibit at library

North Olympic Library System kicks off a collaborative library/community art project in early June.

Receptions will coincide with Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk on Friday, June 4, and Port Angeles’ Second Weekend art event on Friday, June 11.

The libraries will be open "after hours" from 5-8 p.m. Works by local artists will be on display and refreshments will be served. The Port Angeles High School Jazz Combo will play from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Contributions of library volunteers and Friends of the Library groups will be recognized in a program at 6:30 p.m. Limited library services will be available during the after-hours event.

The summer Art in the Library exhibits will feature works by Dee Green, Elaine Lennox, Donna Standerwick, Linda Holt, Paul Labrie, Duncan Yves McKiernan, The Pacific Northwest Wood Artisans and Sallie Radock.

The autumn Art in the Library show will open in early September.

The Sequim Library is at 630 N. Sequim Ave., and the Port Angeles Library is at 2210 S. Peabody St.
