The 2010 WSU Beach Watchers volunteer marine stewardship educator training has been rescheduled to Mondays and Wednesdays in May, and Wednesdays and Fridays in September.
An orientation for new, registered volunteers starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 30. Classes are held from 9 a.m.-
4 p.m. at the Feiro Marine Life Center on the City Pier at the foot of Lincoln Street in Port Angeles.
Volunteers receive 100 hours of education ranging from basic oceanography to tide pool invertebrates. They still will commit to donating 100 hours to the community via marine stewardship outreach, citizen science, or participation in marine habitat restoration and protection projects.
The $45 class fee covers parking permits, class notebooks and materials.
