Washington State Patrol reports that at 9:14 a.m. June 20, Barbara Sadler, 64, of Port Angeles, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 101 by Sequim Bay Lodge in her 2004 PT Cruiser and crossed the center line.

Sadler’s vehicle reportedly sideswiped Janice Counselor, 75, of Poulsbo who was driving west in her 2001 Nissan Sentra with Julie Delgado, 71.

Sadler came to rest in the eastbound lane while Counselor stopped 15 feet over the westbound embankment, Washington State Patrol reports.

All three women were transported to Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles.

As of Tuesday, Counselor remains in satisfactory condition while Sadler and Delgado were treated and released, OMC officials report.

Both vehicles were totaled and the highway was cleared around 10:20 a.m.

Sadler was charged with failure to stay to the right of the center line, Washington State Patrol reports.
