Owners are Herbert and Maria Lutz. She is head chef and brings years of experience with Mexican cooking.

He owns the building, located next door to Olympic Laundry. He leased it out until he decided to open a restaurant with her.

Their employees include nephew Miguel, manager and chef; granddaughter Chantel and daughters Stephanie and Tracy, waitresses; and grandson Stephen, cook.

Clallam Transit System set an all-time record for annual passenger trips in 2008.

Fixed-route service ridership increased 12.9 percent from 2007 ridership.

The final fixed-route count was 1,003,690, up from 888,777 in 2007 and the first time the figure has exceeded 1 million.

Overall ridership including fixed-route, special, vanpool and paratransit boardings, totaled 1,167,660 trips.

Cedarbrook Garden Cafe changed its hours. The cafe at 1345 S. Sequim Ave. is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

Entrepreneur Youth Challenge 2009 is being held from 4-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Lincoln Center, 905 W. Ninth St., Port Angeles.

The public is encouraged to come support and celebrate these creative and innovative young entrepreneurs as they compete for a chance to win two $1,500 awards in a business plan competition.

The second annual Entrepreneur Youth Challenge is presented by Peninsula College Entrepreneur Institute and The Incubator @ Lincoln Center and sponsored by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.

Each First Federal branch will have home-baked refreshments and prizes throughout the day.

Paul Collins of Enviro-Clean Northwest has earned the status of certified mold inspector through MICRO, a company that specializes in mold training and certifications.

A certified mold inspector is a specialist professionally trained to assess both the presence of microbial contamination and the source of any underlying moisture intrusion.

Enviro-Clean is based in Port Angeles.

Inner Light House Wellness Center of Sequim and Living Well Natural Health Center of Port Angeles joined forces.

Jinny McCartney, Clallam County Family YMCA fitness instructor, completed a series of continuing education trainings including "Pilates for Osteoporosis."

McCartney is a STOTT certified instructor, ACE certified personal trainer and Yogafit certified instructor. An instructor at the YMCA for 18 years, she teaches a variety of classes.
