Peony Farm opens
Peony Farm has opened at 2204 Happy Valley Road, Sequim, a division of Happy Valley Grower.
Michael and Amy Hall moved to Sequim five years ago to pursue Amy’s passion for flowers and gardening. The farm is open for retail sales from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Saturday.

Students pass cosmetology board
Terra Smithson, Gabi Lahmeyer, Jamie Decker and Rachael Jorgensen, students from Angeles Academy of Hair & Nails, passed the state board for cosmetology.
The students were accepted into the academy as free of charge students after Chetta’s closed.
Three more students from Chetta’s soon will take the board.

Vet dental clinic
The Jefferson County 4-H Horse Program hosts an open equine dental clinic with Dr. Richard Vetter, a veterinary equine dentist. Vetter will examine and treat horses at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4907 Landes St., Port Townsend Saturday-Sunday, May 22-23. Additional appointments may also be available on Friday, May 21.

Washington Federal brand
Washington Federal Savings is updating its company image and launching a new brand identity for the first time in more than 25 years.
New signs were installed at many of the company’s Western Washington locations, including the branch at 191 W. Washington St., Sequim. Work continues locally through early May.
The company-wide initiative centers around shortening the corporate name to "Washington Federal" and rebranding branches acquired from both Horizon Bank and First Mutual Bank.
