Campbell elected

Trevor Campbell of Jim Carl Insurance was elected vice president of Professional Independent Agents of Washington/Alaska.

He will serve a one-year term.

PIA Washington/Alaska is a trade association representing member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance but specialize in coverage of automobiles, homes and businesses.

Social network marketing

The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Business Retention & Expansion Committee sponsors a social networking tools workshop for businesses called "Business Friends & Followers" from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the Holiday Inn Express Suites & Conference Center, 1441 E. Washington St.

The workshop with Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond and Arthur J. Buhrer will introduce the future of advertising and do-it-yourself marketing through social networking tools. Contact the chamber for a registration form. There is a small charge for the workshop and it is open to all businesses.

High tea

Common Sense Nutritional Therapy and the Dove’s Nest team up for a "High Tea in the Raw" on July 8.

Seatings are scheduled at 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.

Tour Victoria

Royal Tours’ buses leave from Sequim at 6:45 a.m. Monday-Saturday this summer to tour Victoria, British Columbia, and Butchart Gardens.

Pick-up is available from local hotels, motels, RV parks and the Black Ball Ferry line dock in Port Angeles.

The tour departs on the 8:20 a.m. run of the M.V. Coho, and arrives in Victoria at 10 a.m.

Stops include the gardens, Victoria and surrounding neighborhoods, shopping, and sightseeing around Victoria’s Inner Harbour before the tour returns on the M.V. Coho’s 7:30 p.m. sailing for Port Angeles.

The price includes passage on the Coho and admission to Butchart Gardens.
