Chris Sexton-Smith is presenting two seminars on fruit tree pruning at McComb Gardens Nursery. Sexton-Smith is an instructor of horticulture at Lake Washington Technical College. Sequim Family Farm will host a seminar for agricultural growers on selling to the I-5 corridor from 3-6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 29, at First Federal Savings & Loan, 1201 W. Washington St., Sequim.

Clallam Transit System set an all-time record for annual passenger trips in 2007. Fixed-route service ridership increased 3 percent over 2006 ridership. The final fixed-route count was 888,777 rides, up from the 855,324 provided in 2006. The 2007 trip total is the highest annual total in Clallam Transit’s history. In addition, overall ridership, including fixed-route, special vanpool and paratransit boardings totaled 1,042,686 trips.
