New instructor
for music school
Elaine Gardner-Morales joined the faculty of Olympic Music School, 331 W. Bell St., Sequim.
She recently moved to the peninsula from Dallas, Texas, where she taught and served as the chairman at Brookhaven College School of the Arts.
She has a bachelor and master degrees in music and will focus on teaching beginning guitar, bass guitar and vocal jazz at the school.
She offers Guitar Jam I, a beginning guitar class for third- through fifth-graders and a beginning adult guitar group, in addition to private instruction.

Workshop scheduled
"Digging, Dividing and Storing Dahlia Tubers" is the subject of an 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, workshop at Jan’s Country Garden, 344 O’Brien Road, Port Angeles.
Jan Jones, owner/operator of the garden, teaches the workshop, focusing on caring for dahlias throughout fall, winter and spring.
