Clallam County Fire District 3 Chief Justin Grider has announced donations to the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program and the FD3 Training Division in the amount of $9,000 each.
The donations were made by Molly Schwarz.
“This generous contribution will enhance our community emergency preparedness initiatives and support advanced firefighting and emergency medical services training,” a press release from Grider stated.
Schwarz was the honored guest at the Tuesday, May 6 Board of Commissioners meeting, where she was formally recognized and thanked for her generosity by the District’s commissioners, chiefs, Disaster Preparedness volunteer Blaine Zechenelly, and staff.
“FD3 is immensely grateful for the ongoing support we receive from community members and organizations, which helps us with the tools and training needed to be well prepared to respond to emergencies of any scale,” Grider stated in the written announcement.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Molly Schwarz and the entire community for your unwavering support. Together, we are building a safer and more resilient community, one day at a time.”
