Beginning the week of July 27, the City of Sequim starts work on several pavement rehabilitation projects.

Rehabilitation includes pavement reconstruction, pavement overlay and subgrade repair.

The following streets will be reconstructed:

• North Fourth Avenue between West Fir Street and West Cedar Street

• South Second Avenue between West Bell Street and West Hammond Street

• North Second Avenue between West Spruce Street and West Alder Street

• North Brown Road between East Fir Street and East Willow Street

• Alley east of Second Avenue between West Cedar Street and West Fir Street

In addition, South Seventh Avenue will consist of subgrade repair (between West Washington and West Prairie streets) and pavement overlay between West Washington Street and 100 feet of Hemlock Street.

The subgrade repair will include the shoulder of Dungeness Way (adjacent to Eagle Mountain Estates), Whitefeather Way and the intersection of Cedar Street and Sequim Avenue.

The work is expected to take approximately 45 working days depending on the weather. Some roads will be reduced to one lane of vehicle traffic with flaggers. Drivers should expect some delays. There will be no parking on these streets during construction. The work will be performed by Lakeside Industries.
