Roundabout repairs set 

The City of Sequim Public Works Department plans to redo the crosswalks in the Ninth Avenue and Washington Street roundabout between 8-11 p.m. today, June 20. Work takes place in the evening to minimize the impact to businesses and travelers. 

Ninth Avenue and Brackett Road access is closed during repairs. Drivers on Washington Street will be limited to one-way travel through the roundabout.

Group prepares events calendar for centennial

The Sequim Centennial Committee is developing an 18-month calendar of events and seeks information about any local events planned between Oct. 1, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2013. 

Event planners may send submissions, suggestions or questions to Sequim City Clerk Karen Kuznek-Reese at kkuznek@

sequimwa.gov or call 681-3428. 

The centennial committee meets at 1 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month in the Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St.

Centennial committee invites sponsors

The Sequim Centennial Committee seeks sponsors for the yearlong Centennial Celebration. Sponsorships are tax-deductible and all amounts are welcome. 

Sponsors who donate $5,000 can have their names or logos included on the Centennial poster.

Park board aims to fill vacancy

The Parks and Recreation Board is seeking a city resident to fill a vacancy on its board. The board has eight members and is an advisory board to the Sequim City Council. The board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month. Applications are available at Sequim City Hall, 152 W. Cedar St., by calling 683-4139 or at www.sequimwa.gov. Submit applications to City Hall. The position is open until filled.
