The City of Sequim Public Works Department will be performing routine stormwater maintenance over the next two weeks.

During the week of Oct. 14 crews will be working on West Sequim Bay Road east of South Rhodefer Road. The week of Oct. 21, crews will be working between Fifth Avenue East and South Sequim Avenue and between West Washington Street and Prairie Street.

Routine stormwater maintenance is important to keep city streets free of excess stormwater and draining properly.

Stormwater maintenance includes the cleaning of catch basins and dry wells and jetting the lateral lines that connect the catch basin and their detention areas. This process removes sediment, rock asphalt and debris from the catch basins and their lines.
