Clallam County elections department extends hours

Clallam County Elections is operating on extended hours early next week to assist voters and issue replacement ballots for the 2016 General Election.

The Elections Department, located within the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse at 223 E. 4th St. in Port Angeles, will be open to the public from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Registered Clallam County voters who have lost, damaged, or never received their ballot may request a replacement in person at the Auditor’s Office or by contacting Clallam County Elections at 417-2221 or jmaxion@co.clallam.wa.us. They may also access a printable ballot via the secure website MyVote at www.myvote.wa.gov.

Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 8 or placed in an official ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Ballot drop off options include 24-hour drive-up ballot boxes at the Clallam County Courthouse in Port Angeles and Sequim Village Shopping Center near JCPenney’s in Sequim, as well as a ballot box in the Forks District II Court lobby.
