Clallam County seeks volunteers for boards, committees

Clallam County is seeking volunteers to fill 159 vacancies on 24 advisory boards and committees.

The deadline to apply is the close of business Thurdsay, Oct. 8.

Vacancies exist on the following advisory panels, with specific categories listed where applicable:

• Agricultural Commission (6 vacancies) — Openings for representatives of Farmer in Commissioner Districts 1, 2 and 3; an at-large farmer; and two non-farmers at-large.

• Behavioral Health Advisory Board (8) — Openings for representatives of Director of Health and Human Services; Director of Juvenile Services; tribal; Department of Child and Family Services; private provider of substance use disorders services not contracting for funding; consumer/past consumer of mental health services; consumer/past consumer of substance use disorders services, and at-large position.

• Board of Health (1) — Openings for an at-large position.

• Boundary Review Board (3) — Openings for a governor appointee; cities appointee, and special district appointee.

• Building Code Board of Appeals (5) — Openings for representatives for two alternates; an an ICC-certified fire marshal; fire inspector, or fire plan examiner; and an ICC-certified building official, building inspector or plans examiner.

• Carlsborg Community Advisory Council (7) — Openings for representatives of resident within UGA exclusive of any manufactured/mobile home community; representatives of resident of a manufactured/mobile home park community with in Carlsborg UGA; business or real property owner within the US Highway 101 commercial zone; business or real property owner within the Carlsborg Industrial Zone; business or real property owner within the Carlsborg Village Center; and two at-large member who are real property owners within the UGA boundary.

• Clallam Bay/Sekiu Community Action Team (4) — Openings for three at-large members and a business owner ((lallam Bay/Sekiu Chamber of Commerce).

• Clallam Bay/Sekiu Sewer Advisory Team (1) — Opening for a committee member.

• Crescent Community Advisory Council (5) — Openings for representatives of Crescent School District Alternate; grange, area business owner or individual who owns commercially zoned property; at-large member, and Crescent School District Student Body Alternate.

• Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee (4) — Openings for four committee member positions.

• Fair Advisory Board (8) — opening for a representatives of the agriculture at-large; grange; at-large; City of Port Angeles; home arts/hobbies and craft; arts/photography; 4-H Homemakers, and livestock.

• Heritage Advisory Board (1) — Opening for representative District 1.
