Richard Louda Sr. – Louda, 78, without an address but from

Sequim, was sentenced Nov. 19 to $2,150 in fines and 12 months of community custody under court supervision for the charge of reckless burning in the first degree, a class C felony. Louda reportedly set fire to a garage on Taylor Cutoff Road near Sequim. The garage was owned by Louda’s son. Louda Sr. reportedly turned himself in for the fire at the Sequim Police station. He allegedly admitted to pouring Coleman fuel from a can in his possession and lighting it with a match. He said he knew the garage might ignite as well, but didn’t care.

Joseph Golbeck – Golbeck, 26, of Sequim, was sentenced Dec. 2 to eight months in jail and $1,150 in fines for the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property in the second degree and obstructing a law enforcement officer. On Sept. 1, Sequim Police officers responded to a reported domestic dispute near the 100 block of South Rhodefer Road. After arresting another Sequim man on an arrest warrant, the man indicated a backpack with drug-related contraband belonged to Golbeck. One of the officers detained Golbeck as well. Golbeck refused to give his name and date of birth after officers found a flare gun inside the backpack, instead asking for an attorney. The officer arrested him on obstruction, reporting that while during a police investigation those involved must provide identification, which Golbeck refused to do. Golbeck previously had been convicted of a felony and was not allowed to possess a firearm. Other contents in the backpack, including a global positioning system device and radios, had been reported stolen.

Tracy Presson – Presson, 46, of Sequim, was sentenced Nov. 18 to 33 months in a state prison and $2,016 in fines for the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree and possessing a stolen firearm, both class B felonies related to 2005 offenses. According to court documents, Presson entered a Goa Way residence with his wife, Paula, and accomplice John Eddy, who also both face charges. They allegedly stole two .12 gauge shotguns, a .22 caliber rifle, a .357 Colt Peacemaker, baseball cards, train sets, tools, night vision goggles, an air compressor and other items valued at more than $3,000. Because he earlier had been convicted of a felony he was not allowed to be in possession of firearms. According to court documents, many of the items were recovered in Presson’s Sequim home.

Billy Knapp – Knapp, 39, of Sequim, saw his case dismissed without prejudice from Clallam County Superior Court Nov. 12. Cases dismissed without prejudice can be filed again at a later date. Court documents indicate the state was unable to continue the case due to the lack of a material witness. The original charges were robbery in the second degree, assault in the fourth degree and malicious mischief in the second degree.

Joshua Wilson – Wilson, 26, of Sequim, also known as Joshua Wedding, was sentenced Nov. 7 in two court cases. He received a mandated 12 months of community custody monitored by the court and $2,050 in fines for one count of the sale, delivery or possession with intent to sell or deliver a legend drug, Percocet, a class B felony. On Aug. 13, Sequim Police contacted four males at Second Avenue and Cedar Street who said an intoxicated male on a bicycle was harassing them. Court reports allege Wilson was on the bike. The officers patted Wilson down for weapons and found a prescription bottle with no label on it that had half a Percocet pill. Wilson also received 365 days in jail and $1,280 in fines for the charge of assault in the fourth degree. The 365 days in jail are suspended for two years if Wilson is able to comply with court requirements and probation. The charge originates from a June 2008 dispute where he assaulted a man he had been living with. Both are registered sex offenders, according to court documents.
