Button design contest

entries due Oct. 17

Submissions are being accepted for the 2009 Sequim Irrigation Festival button design. The concept for the 2009 festival is "Sequim – A Magical Place". The Button design contest entries will be accepted from artists in the 1st through 5th grades who live in the Sequim School District. The winning design will be used on the festival button that will be sold by area 5th graders in late March. Seattle Gospel Choir

Coming to Sequim

The community is invited to a Sequim High School choir concert with Gospel Choir of Seattle at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 in the school’s performing arts center, 601 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.

Gospel Choir of Seattle gives a master class for the students that day.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. This is a fundraising event. Carbon Productions donates the proceeds to the high school choirs. Call 683-9260.

Flu shots administered

Olympic Medical Physicians offers walk-in flu-shot clinics to its registered patients or their relatives 18 years or older in Port Angeles and Sequim.

Curb-side service is available to limited-mobility auto passengers in Sequim only.

Flu shots will be administered in the McCarter Room next to Seasons Café from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 27 and Oct. 18 at 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles. Entrance through the hospital’s east entrance is requested.

Flu shots also will be available 9 a.m.-

3 p.m. Oct. 4 and 25 at the Medical Services Building, 840 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

If uninsured, the cost is $26 and cash or check is accepted.

Veterans’ mobile service

office visits Port Angeles

Disabled American Veterans’ mobile service office will be at WorkSource Center, 229 W. First St., Port Angeles, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 25 to provide counseling and claim-

filing assistance to veterans and their families. The counseling and filing-assistance service is free to all veterans and their families. Call 206-220-6225.
