Children’s art festival in P.T.
The ninth annual Children’s Festival of Art is 11 a.m.-
5 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Building 204 in Fort Worden State Park, 200 Battery Way, Port Townsend.
Activities include weaving, spinning, beading, clay on the wheel, clay handwork, ceremonial swords, fairy houses, printmaking, watercolor painting, metal sculpture, sewing, origami books, altered pages, bead embroidery, rock tree sculpture, quilting, boat-making, hula hooping, blacksmithing, doll-making and face painting.
Co-Arts presents the festival. Sponsors include Northwind Arts Alliance and the Port Townsend Arts Commission.

Blood drives
Knights of Columbus Council 8455 sponsors a blood drive with Puget Sound Blood Center from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 3:15-5:30 p.m. April 16 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim. Scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone in good health, age 18 or older can donate. Call 681-2596.
Sequim Community Church hosts a Puget Sound Blood Center blood drive from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2:15-5 p.m. April 18 at 950 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. Scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 681-7205.
Northwest Wine and Cheese Tour
Olympic Peninsula wineries in Sequim, Port Angeles and Port Townsend host a Northwest Wine and Cheese Tour from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. April 18-19.
Wineries include Lost Mountain Winery, Sequim; Black Diamond Winery, Camaraderie Cellars, Harbinger Winery and Olympic Cellars, Port Angeles; and FairWinds Winery and Sorensen Cellars, Port Townsend.
Tickets for this self-guided tour cost $25 in advance or at the door. A tasting fee of $5 per person per winery will apply to nonticketed visitors.
