Wellness forum on sexuality set
Daryl Trowbridge presents a free WOW! Pettyjohn retires from board
Brian Pettyjohn has retired from the board of directors for Healthy Families of Clallam County after six years. He has held the position of chairman of the board since April 1, 2007. Chuck Hatten has been elected chairman of the board, beginning July 1.
OTA plans Tony Awards dinner, auction
Olympic Theatre Arts celebrates the Tony Awards with a gourmet wine-pairing dinner at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave. The program includes silent and live auctions. Public hearings on redistricting set
The Clallam County Districting Commission hosts a series of public hearings to seek citizen input on five redistricting scenarios proposed by districting masters Gene Unger and Don Corson:

• June 15, 7 p.m., Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.
• June 16, 7 p.m., Commissioners Meeting Room, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Streamkeepers offer volunteer training
Streamkeepers, Clallam County’s volunteer stream monitoring program, is seeking new volunteers to help collect stream health data, perform data entry and analysis, and conduct education and outreach. The Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society holds its end-of-the-year potluck dinner and program at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Dungeness River Audubon Center, Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim. Following dinner, Mike Pratt, director of wildlife services at West Sound Wildlife Shelter, will present “Owls of Washington.”

Cancer talk on tap
“Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness” is scheduled from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 18 in Linkletter Hall, Olympic Memorial Hospital, 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles.
Bobbi de Cordova-Hanks and Jerry Hanks speak about “In Sickness and Health: A Survivor and Caregiver Tell Their Story of Tears and Hope.”
Topics include exercise and nutrition for cancer survivors, healing and coping strategies and late effects from cancer treatment.
A patient panel also is scheduled.

Peninsula modelers hold show, contest
The North Olympic Peninsula Modelers Society presents its sixth annual Model Show and Contest from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in Building 204 at Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend. Modelers of all skill levels and ages are invited to participate. Special theme is “100 Years of U.S. Naval Aviation, 1911-2011.” Entry fee for unlimited models is $5/adults, $1/under 18. Admission is $5 adults/$3 under 18.

Congregation celebrates Shavuot
Congregation Olympic B’nai Shalom will celebrate Shavuot on Sunday, June 12. Shavuot celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai and in the COBS tradition, this festival is celebrated at Hurricane Ridge. The festival service with singing and celebration will be led by Susan Stombaugh. Afterwards, in keeping with the tradition of a dairy meal, all attendees will conclude the celebration with ice cream sundaes.
Meet in the parking lot of the Olympic Park Visitors Center to carpool up to Hurricane Ridge. Meeting time is 1:30 p.m.
