Siren warning test
Winchester chimes will sound for 10 seconds at noon Monday, June 7, in Diamond Point, Dungeness, West Port Angeles, Lower Elwha, LaPush, Neah Bay and Clallam Bay.
A voice message declares the sound a test of the All Hazard Alert Broadcast Sirens in Clallam County.
The test is run at noon on the first Monday of the month to check the system’s capabilities to send timely warning notification for emergency incidents, including tsunamis, to coastal communities of Clallam, Jefferson, Pacific, and Grays Harbor counties.
Citizens are invited to call in information regarding the chimes, the voice announcement and where they were when they heard them throughout Monday and Tuesday following the test siren at 417-2525.

KSQM campaign
KSQM 91.5 FM, a nonprofit community radio station, will have a food booth at the Kids’ Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, in Carrie Blake Park, 202 Blake Ave., Sequim.
Hot dogs and other foods will be available for $1 to kick off the station’s "Dollar-A-Day" donation campaign.
Station coffee mugs will be sold for $10, and hot coffee will be available for donations.

SNAP parent sessions
SNAP offers two free sessions for parents Thursdays June 3 and 10.

Topics include what the school program focuses on during the ages of 18-21, why the time is important, how guardianships and trusts work and when they are necessary.

Master carver teaches workshop
Jamestown S’Klallam master carver Jeff Monson teaches a free tribal arts and crafts workshop from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Peninsula College’s House of Learning Longhouse, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
Students will learn to make block prints using designs carved by area Native American artists.

Streamkeepers begin training
Streamkeepers, Clallam County’s volunteer stream monitoring program, begins free training June 15.
Volunteers help collect stream health data, perform data entry and analysis, and conduct education and outreach.
New volunteers join existing stream teams and perform quarterly stream monitoring and other stewardship activities on streams throughout the county. No previous experience is necessary.

Eagles host comedy night
The Olympic Peninsula Eagles, a Sequim-based adult football team, host Seattle-area comedian Ron Osborne at a comedy night from 7-9 p.m. at the Peking China Restaurant, 2416 Highway 101, Port Angeles.
Admission is $5 for those with Eagle season passes, $10 without. Funds raised to go buy new uniforms and equipment.
