Scouts offer Christmas tree recycling

BSA Scout Troop 1498 will once again offer Christmas tree recycling to the community. Pick-up time/date is between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8.

Suggested donation is $25 per tree, payable in cash, check, Venmo or PayPal.

Conservation Futures funding available

The Conservation Futures Program Advisory Board earlier this month announced a first call opportunity for Conservation Futures applications.

Clallam County provides funds for the purchase of conservation easements in farmland. All information pertaining to the program is available at clallam.net/bocc/CFPAB.html.

Applications must be received at 223 E. Fourth St., Room 150, Port Angeles, by noon on Monday, March 14; the applications must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, “2022 Conservation Futures Applications” (1st call)”.
