Puget Sound Anglers meet
Puget Sound Anglers North Olympic Peninsula Chapter will host an open to the public general meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Mustang Survival representative Brian Zue will speak on Mustang Survival and its products. His talk will include the background of Mustang Survival, inflatable history, types of inflatables with different activation mechanisms, their uses and Coast Guard regulations, along with product care and maintenance. He will provide a product demonstration.
Zue has more than 20 years’ experience in the marine industry, including working for five boat manufacturers.
Following the presentation, there will be a short business meeting, fishing reports, and then raffle drawings. Raffles are for members only, but those who join that night can participate.
An annual individual membership is $25, and a family membership is $35. Membership also includes The Reel News monthly newspaper.
PA Book Sale update
Due to North Olympic Library System’s closure on Thursday, June 19, The Port Angeles Friends of the Library’s (PAFOL) June Bag of Books Sale will be two days only.
The sale will be Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21 from 10:15 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Friday, and 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday.
Books will be in the entry lobby of the Port Angeles Branch of NOLS. Patrons can bring their own PAFOL book bag and fill it for $3, 0r fill a PAFOL provided bag for $5, or buy a new PAFOL book bag for $8 and filled for free.
Proceeds support the PAFOL which in turn funds special projects and programs hosted by NOLS.
