Soul Care series

“Boundaries: Caring for Yourself While Caring for Others,” Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County’s next installment in its Soul Care Speaker Series, is scheduled online Wednesday, Nov. 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Jonathan Prescott, the founder of Wise Caregiving, is an ordained student of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and has served as a chaplain in hospice, cancer care and hospital settings. During the session, he will focus on boundaries as tools to help caregivers protect themselves while connecting more deeply with others; as acts of compassion for patients and caregivers; and as a way to renew perspectives on human interactions.

Prescott studied at The Mountain Lamp Community, the Metta Institute and the Zen Hospice Project. He offers workshops and retreats to help caregivers become more openhearted, effective and joyful. He also wrote “The Road to Freedom: Learning to Drive with Joy and Kindness.”

To register, visit volunteerhospice.org or call 360-452-1511.
