The city plans to begin construction of the new West Spruce Street parking lot on Monday, June 2.

The work will generally take place Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The project is expected to take 10-12 weeks to complete.

The address for the construction site is 153-169 W. Spruce St.

Residents can expect delays, localized closures and detours during work hours. Resident access will be provided, but residents are encouraged to heed flaggers, cones and construction signage and to be aware of large construction equipment and trucks and their backup alarms.

The work will include installation of stormwater infrastructure, curb, asphalt parking, sidewalk, EV chargers, lighting, landscaping, and other associated work.
