Cruise ship to call at Port Angeles

On May 7, the 1,250-passenger cruise ship Statendam of Holland America Line will call at Port Angeles harbor May 7 as part of a five-day Puget Sound tour that includes calls at Vancouver, Victoria and Port Alberni, British Columbia, and Seattle.

On May 7, the 1,250-passenger cruise ship Statendam of Holland America Line will call at Port Angeles harbor May 7 as part of a five-day Puget Sound tour that includes calls at Vancouver, Victoria and Port Alberni, British Columbia, and Seattle.

Passengers will be in Port Angeles between 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

They can choose several prepackaged day-tours offered by Gray Line, including a trip to Hurricane Ridge, a tour of local wineries or an interpretive walk to Marymere Falls near Lake Crescent.

Local business organizations, including the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau and the Port Angeles Downtown Association, will greet passengers with maps, brochures, sightseeing suggestions and coupons for shopping in downtown Port Angeles.
