Election Day is Feb. 14 for two Sequim School District levy proposals

Ballots for two Sequim School District levy proposals are up for consideration in a special election.

One is a replacement, four-year $26.5 Education Programs and Operations Levy that helps fund teacher salaries, technology upgrades transportation, athletics, maintenance and more.

The second is a one-time capital levy to renovate and expand the central district kitchen facility and demolish an unused portion of the Sequim Community School.

Election Day is Feb. 14.

Ballots must be postmarked by Feb. 14 or be placed in an official ballot box by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Voters who did not receive a ballot or have questions should contact the Clallam County Elections Department at 417-2221 or email jmaxion@co.clallam.wa.us.

Those not registered in Washington have until Monday, Feb. 6, to register in person at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles; business hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Mondy-Friday.
