Elections 2013: 9 percent return on primary ballot

 

With Clallam County elections off Monday (furlough day), Tuesday was the first day of processing ballots for the Aug. 6 primary election. Staff received 2,454 ballots as of Tuesday’s mail. Wednesday’s count added 1,341 ballots to the count; About 9 percent of the 41,208 voters in this election have now returned ballots.

Voters must either place their ballot in a ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on election day or return by mail no later than Aug. 6.

Any voter in the Fire District No. 3, Port of Port Angeles District 1 or Port Angeles School District who did not receive a ballot should contact the County Auditor’s Office at 417-2221, or in person, to be issued a replacement ballot.
