‘Excel’ program offers after-school help
The Opportunity to Excel, a new after-school learning program offered to all students in the Sequim School District, began Oct. 13 at Sequim middle and high schools.
The program is offered until 3:45 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday.
The program staff, comprised of Sequim School District teachers, aims to provide students with additional time and support to complete schoolwork as well as assistance for those struggling to understand concepts or ideas.
Alternative bus routes make selected stops for those students and leave from the Helen Haller Elementary School/stadium parking lot at 4 p.m. Parents can check the district website (www.sequim.k12.wa.us) for these alternative bus routes and stops.
The program will begin at Greywolf Elementary and Helen Haller Elementary in mid-November.
