Buddhist basics offered

Joanne Kumekawa will present two classes on “Buddhist Basics” from 10 a.m.-noon on Sundays Oct. 5 and Oct. 12, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim. A donation is suggested. Kumekawa is certified to teach by the International Shri Singha Foundation.

Fall Mission talks

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church parish, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim, will be hosting its Fall mission “Work Out Your Salvation” Monday-Thursday, Oct. 27-30. The mission talks will follow the morning Mass at 8:30 a.m. and will be repeated at 7 p.m. For more information, call 683-6076.
