Cousteau crewman to speak

Former Navy demolition frogman and Jacques Cousteau Expedition leader Steve Arrington will be speaking at the Adventist Church, 30 Sanford Lane, Sequim, at 11 a.m. and at 7:30 p.m. on July 11. T

he evening program titled “High on Adventure” will feature incredible footage of whales, dolphins and sharks.

He will share his unbelievable life journey that has allowed him to speak to youths in over 3,000 public schools and at universities nationwide.

Admission is free.

Casey shares life lessons

Peninsula Daily News reporter Jim Casey will present “All I Needed to Know in Life I Learned from My Own Reporter’s Notebook” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 12, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew.

Casey started as a newspaper reporter in 1967 for a weekly paper in suburban Chicago and subsequently served daily newspapers in Ohio; Texas; Coos Bay, Ore.; and Everett, Olympia and Port Angeles. Childcare is provided.
