Rev. Bruce A. Bode will speak on the topic “Christmas: The Season of the Heart” on Sunday, Dec. 21 at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road.

A release about the topic states: “Christmas in our culture and even worldwide is not just a day but a season, a time we are called to attend more consciously than at other times of the year to the needs and dreams, the longings and loves, of the heart.”

Bode is minister emeritus at the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (QUUF) in Port Townsend, from which he retired in 2018 as senior minister after serving the congregation for 14 years. Before coming to Port Townsend, he was interim minister at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston and Hope Unitarian Church in Tulsa. Prior to that, he served for 22 years as an associate minister at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
