Silent Lent retreat set at St. Luke’s

Members of the Sequim community are invited for a personal Lenten journey at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 19. This is a special, silent retreat — A Journey with Jesus. Bring a Bible, a journal and a sack lunch (including beverage). If you wish, bring a cushion and a blanket.

Learn about your meridians

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, will host a two-hour session on meridian tapping, a specific type of acupressure that uses the same meridians (electrical channels) in the body that acupuncture does, but without any needles. The session is from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the church and the teacher is Stina Pope. Bring paper and pencil and an open mind. For more information, email Pope at stinapope@gmail.com.

‘Making hard choices’ at OUUF

Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew, hosts Bridget Laffin, a first-year seminary student at Seattle University, speaking at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 13. Her topic is “Making Hard Choices.” There is coffee hour after the service. OUUF also has a program for children’s religious exploration that runs concurrently with the adult Sunday service. This Sunday, the Rev. Amanda Aikman will offer after the service, her “Support Group for Being Human.” Anyone can attend, a small donation is appreciated.
