Honoring Mexican tradition

Honoring Mexican tradition

On Oct. 30, the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road, Agnew, will present Rev. Dr. Karen Taliesin who will present the Day of the Dead celebration. El Día de lost Muertos — the Day of the Dead — is one of Mexico’s most important holidays spanning three days, from Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The congregation will reflect on the spirit of this tradition, and all have been invited to honor and celebrate a loved one who has died (including family members, friends and pets) by bringing a picture or a token to place on a table in the sanctuary before the service. Talieson is a chaplin and pastoral care provider at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
