Another group of recruits endured rigorous training from Jan. 4-March 30 to become volunteer firefighters. Four departments honored 23 recruits on March 31 at the Sequim fire station.

Graduates for Clallam County Fire District 3 in the Sequim area include Firefighter Mary Anderson, Mary Boyce*, Brandi Cavanaugh, Dodd Emery, John Jensen*, Doug Krocker, Zachary McAneny, Rob McGuire and Dustin Parsons.

New firefighters for Clallam County Fire District 2 (Port Angeles) include Firefighter John Hollis*, Chris Bonati*, Joe Sandoval, Sarah Thompson*, Joe Sprague, Steven Bentley*, Marquita Espinoza, Nathan Hagaman and Gerald Page.

Port Angeles Fire Department’s new members include Phillip VanKessel* and Jillian Munger* and Clallam County Fire District 4 (Joyce) saw Vashina Donnell* graduate, too.

An * designates a firefighter who also graduated with an Emergency Medical Technician or EMT status.
