Former Sequim Library employee to talk publishing

Local author Lindy MacLaine will visit the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, to discuss her work and writing process, and offer tips to aspiring authors and other creatives.

Local author Lindy MacLaine will visit the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, to discuss her work and writing process, and offer tips to aspiring authors and other creatives.

MacLaine is the author of the fantasy adventure series, Piper Pan and Her Merry Band. The first installment, “The Curse of the Neverland,” was released in March.

An avid reader and performer-turned-writer, MacLaine is a familiar face at the Sequim Library, where she worked for five years.

MacLaine will read an excerpt from her book, describe her journey into publishing and share essons she’s learned in her 13 years as a writer.

Having recently pared down her personal library of writing reference books, MacLaine will be gifting 20 titles related to the craft of writing to participating attendees. Copies of her novel also will be available at the event from Hart’s Fine Books.
