Several Sequim area sites invite members of the community for a free Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 22:

• Sunshine Cafe hosts its 10th annual free Harvest Dinner from noon-4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, at 145 W. Washington St. Owners Allen and Diane Drake do this as a thank-you to the community. Reservations are suggested: Call 683-4282. Freewill donations will benefit the family of Violet O’Dell, a Sequim girl who recently died of brain cancer.

• Hardy’s Market, 10200 Old Olympic Highway, offers a free traditional Thanksgiving Day meal from 11 a.m. until supplies are gone. For more information, call 582-0240.

• The Sequim VFW Post 4760 offers its annual free community Thanksgiving Day meal from 1-4 p.m. To RSVP (not required), 683-9546 or 683-9123.
