Student interns

The clubs have hired 14 student workers (nine in Sequim), ages 14-18, to help prepare, package and deliver meals at the different sites through the Boys & Girls Club’s Workforce Readiness Program that staff says equips youth with vital employment skills through real world experience.

They’ll contribute three hours daily, five days a week for 10 weeks, earning minimum wage.

This experience will hone their time management, project management, customer service and teamwork skills and develop a profound understanding of community service and nutrition, staff said.
