Future Builders home No. 11 is slated for a June 8 completion, thanks to generosity of the North Olympic Peninsula community and North Peninsula Building Association members.

Recently Titan Builders and crew donated rolling the trusses and roof sheeting. Owner Luke Shifflett said he wanted to give something back to the youths because he started when he was their age.   

The home is built in Linn Acres, a low-impact subdivision developed by the builders’ association for the Future Builders program.  

The 1,400-square-foot home will be listed with Brooke Nelson of Coldwell Banker Uptown, certified to a Level 1 on the Built Green Clallam County checklist and priced in the low $200,000 range.  

Financing for the home is provided by First Federal.   

The Future Builders program is a cooperative venture of the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center, Peninsula College and the North Peninsula Building Association. Since the program’s inception 11 years ago, proceeds from the sale of the Future Builder homes have funded grants and scholarships totaling more than $180,000.  

The NPBA encourages community members to support this training program through donations of time and/or materials.
