The race continues for Greywolf Elementary students who ran the Oct. 14 Jog-A-Thon.

So far, 230 students turned in pledge sheets for running laps toward the PTA’s goal to buy a portable Smartboard, increase the school’s library inventory, continue art education, enhance math, music, reading and science room programs and buy PE equipment.

Darci Ulin, president of the PTA, said they’ve raised nearly $11,000 and will do some local, regional and national grant writing to make up the difference.

Students who ran the most laps in their grade won a limo ride with a friend and Principal Donna Hudson to a pizza party at Islander Pizza and Pasta Shack.

Winners include Garrett Little, morning kindergarten; Chase Tilton, afternoon kindergarten; Aiden Lara, first grade; Lilly Janis, second grade; Anthony Cortani, third grade; Kaylee Dunlap, fourth grade; and Connor Lamb, fifth grade.

Kelli Mishko’s kindergarten class won a party at Wiker & Wiker Golf & Pizza and all fifth-graders won a SARC party.

Corporate donations came from Sound Community Bank and Waste Connection and DM Disposal and sponsorships from Anytime Fitness, Big 5, Costco, Domino’s Pizza, Islander Pizza and Pasta Shack, SARC, 7 Cedars Casino, Westside Pizza and Wiker & Wiker Mini Golf.
