Health Summit set for Monday

The Clallam County Health and Human Services will host an update to the 2013 Health Summit from 3-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Olympic Memorial Hospital's Linkletter Hall in Port Angeles.

The Clallam County Health and Human Services will host an update to the 2013 Health Summit from 3-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Olympic Memorial Hospital’s Linkletter Hall in Port Angeles.

The six priority areas chosen at the 2013 Health Summit will be addressed:

1) Medical Home/Availability of Primary Providers

2) Mental Health/Early Identification, Access to Outpatient Services, Crisis Intervention

3) Chronic Disease Prevention/Management

4) Substance Abuse: opiate, alcohol, tobacco

5) Oral Health and Dental Access

6) Early Learning/Healthy Parenting Skills

In addition information on Accountable Communities of Health and regional support networks will be discussed by Dr. Tom Locke, Clallam County Health Officer.

The public is invited but seating is limited.
