More than five acres of cars.
That’s the promise of the annual Ruddell Cruise In, a massive auto show at two sites in Port Angeles slated for July 10.
This event marks the 13th year the dealership has hosted the event.
"We expect this year’s show to be a repeat with over 400 cars," said dealer Howard "Howie" Ruddell.
The Cruise In is free for spectators and car exhibitors alike.
This year, show organizers are accepting advance registration online (www.ruddell auto.com).
Co-hosting the event is the Old Timers Car Club from Bremerton.
"We expect cars from across western Washington – from Bremerton, Tacoma, Puyallup, (north) to Bellingham – as well as some folks coming from Canada again," said Old Timers club chairman Jerry Scott.
Entertainment is provided by The Way Back Machine band.
Radio station KONP 1450 is scheduled to be on site providing a live remote prior to and during the event.
Concessions also are available for nominal fees.
Those wishing to display a car can register online or register the day of the show at the entrance.
The first 100 registrants receive a free T-shirt. (Note: Because of a limited number of spaces, project cars – cars not yet completed – are not allowed.)
Parking is available in a first-come, first-served basis.
Trophies are awarded for a variety of categories, including Best of Show, People’s Choice and Farthest Distance Traveled.
The late H. "Mac" Ruddell started the Cruise In event in 1996 with the help of Scott, the Old Timers Car Club Rod Run chairman.
