Six Sequim students have qualified to participate in National History Day. These students will be travelling to the University of Maryland where they will compete against over 2,000 of our nation’s best young historians.

The cost of the trip is still well over $1,000 per student, teachers said this week.

Middle school students Emily Carel, Trevor Consoliver, Hillary Smith, and Kaitlin and Emily Heike are headed to the national event along with high school student Kiehl Sundt

For the fourth time, Sequim Middle School captured the Washington State History Day Middle School of the Year award.
