Following November’s Family Holiday Meal Bag program, Sequim Food Bank and community partners return to Carrie Blake Community Park for December’s Christmas-time event.

Check in runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. Participants will then drive to the park’s Water Reuse Demonstration Site where volunteers will place items in a trunk or back seat.

Last month’s program distributed about 715 boxes of food with 650 given out at the park and 65 in home deliveries, organizers said.

The Sequim Food Bank coordinates the event with Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and the City of Sequim along with support from multiple agencies, such as the Lions, Rotarians, veterans groups, churches, and more.

Sequim Food Bank, 144 W. Alder St., offers ongoing support from 1-4 p.m. Mondays, and 9 a.m.-noon on Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call 360-683-1205.
