The League of Women Voters of Clallam County is sponsoring a primary election forum featuring candidates for Clallam County commissioner from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, in Room 160 — the commissioners meeting room — of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

This forum features candidates for County Commissioner District 2 who are on the ballot for the Aug. 2 primary election. The two candidates who receive the most votes in the primary go on the November ballot.

All four candidates — Ron Richards, Gabe Rygaard, Maggie Roth and Randy Johnson — have been invited to participate.

The forum will include a short biography of each candidate and the opportunity for all candidates to present their qualifications for the position and what their primary goals will be if elected.

Members of the audience then have the opportunity to ask the candidates questions.

The forum will conclude with each candidate giving a closing statement.

Time will be allowed at the conclusion of the forum for a one-on-one Q&A session with the candidates.

Ballots will be mailed on July 13 with voting in the primary election ending on Aug. 2.
