Learn how to find female ancestors

The Clallam County Genealogical Society hosts a free day of genealogical fun with genealogical historian Donna Potter Phillips on Saturday, March 19, at the Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 N. Sequim Ave.

Following a short general meeting that starts at 10 a.m., Phillips presents a two-part series called “Finding Lost Ladies & Missing Mothers.” It is focused on ways to learn more about female ancestors. Phillips has more than 25 years of genealogical research experience.

There will be a lunch break from noon-1 p.m., followed by Phillips’ afternoon class entitled “Our Lady Ancestors were Joiners: Clubs, Societies & Organizations.”

The afternoon class requires advance registration and is $20 for members and non-members.
